Economic Decline  Some economists say no other company in world history has wreaked as much economic havoc as Walmart. Here is a brief sampling of some government funded research papers conducted by respected universities   link

Blowing Trash  Since Walmart is low price/high volume it’s obvious they aren’t the best housekeeper of the big box stores.  Take a close look at what our nearby Walmarts look like.

Environment   The large parking lot will cause additional run off.  In a rainstorm, there could be millions of gallons flowing into Ebb creek across the street which flows on to Grant Park and the lake.  It has already been a long standing problem for the community and there are serious concerns whether the Walmart plan has adequately addressed this issue.

Light Pollution   You can forget about seeing starry skies after that building and parking lot are lit up.

It Will Be A Vacant Lot All Over Again Soon Enough  It is only a matter of time before Walmart would close the store as they have in five other locations throughout SE Wisconsin.  These eyesores can sit for years.  see photo below
